1.Can mineral engine oils be mixed with synthetic engine oils?
Yes, it must be possible to mix the engine oils so that the oil can be topped up at any time. However, the quality of the oil in the engine will be correspondingly effected - increased or reduced.
2. Can Oil Additive be added to fully synthetic engine oils as well?
Yes, this has been tested on 10 company vehicles in a field test. The friction and wear is reduced by around 30 %.
3. Can two oil or fuel additives be used simultaneously?
Yes, our additives have been formulated so they have no detrimental effect on each other or the mixture as a whole.
4. For how many liters of fuel have our fuel additives been formulated?
| Mtx Carburetor Cleaner | 300 ml to 70 liters fuel or 30 liters when the vehicle is decommissioned |
| IInjection Cleaner | 300 ml to 70 liters |
| Valve Cleaner | 150 ml to 75 liters |
| Super Diesel Additive | 250 ml to 50 liters |
| Diesel Flush | 500 ml for remedial use or 250 ml for preventive use |
| Diesel Soot Stop | 150 ml to 50 liters |
| Diesel Lubrication Additive | 150 ml to 80 liters |
| Diesel Flow Fit | 150 ml to 40-75 liters

5. What are the advantages of using special diesel engine oils?
These engine oils contain a higher proportion of cleaning additives to prevent the formation of deposits and also contain chemical substances which coat particles of dirt and prevent the formation of agglomerations. These engine oils are therefore able to keep any soot particles which get into the crank gear in suspension and prevent the formation of deposits which impair performance.
6. Can Oil Additive or Engine Protect be used for motorcycles as well?
At 20 ml per liter engine oil, this additive has a beneficial effect on wet clutches and prevents clutch slip. We do not recommend Engine Protect for general use in wet clutches.
7. Is Injection Cleaner or Valve Cleaner suitable for use on motorcycles?
At 20 ml per liter engine oil, this additive has a beneficial effect on wet clutches and prevents clutch slip. We do not recommend Engine Protect for general use in wet clutches.
8. Are the various products of our care product range silicone-free?
Most care products do contain silicone but so do the products of competitors.
However, this does not apply to products such as paint cleaners or silicone removers which are used before painting.
9. Are our greases non-corrosive? Yes.
10. Is Motor Protect compatible with the new longlife oils?
Liqui Moly Motor Protect (part no. 1018) can be used in modern longlife oils as well as in Synthoil Longtime Plus 0W-30 and Synthoil Longtime 0W-30.
11. Why is MoS2 Low-Viscosity 10W-40 motor oil black and sludgy, similar in appearance to old oil?
The addition of molybdenum sulfide to the motor oil means that the color of the oil is overpowered by the anthracite-colored additive.
12. Can Oil Leak Stop (part no. 1005) also be used in wet clutches, e.g. those in motorcycles?
The use of Oil Leak Stop in engines when the clutch runs in a bath of motor oil can, due to the additives contained, cause the clutch to slip. We do not recommend the use of this product in such a case.
13. Can Diesel High Tech 5W-40 (e.g. part. no. 1331) be used in pump-nozzle engines with WIV (extended maintenance interval) which require oil complying with VW standard 506.01?
Liqui Moly's Diesel High Tech 5W-40 motor oil has obtained VW 505.01 approval for pump-nozzle diesel engines with a normal maintenance interval of 1 year or 15,000 km. It may be used without problems in pump-nozzle engines with WIV, in which case the WIV must be set back to 15,000 km or 1 year. May be used as a refill oil, provided that the remaining time does not exceed 15,000 km.
14. Does 2-stroke oil become separated from the fuel if a vehicle is not driven for an extended period?
2-stroke oil blends fully with the fuel and does not separate even if the vehicle is not driven for a long period.
15. Can Liqui Moly Oil Leak Stop (part. no. 1005) also be used in vehicles with turbocharged engines?
Yes, as Oil Leak Stop contains softening agents and viscosity improvers. First, it regenerates elastomer seals, and secondly it slightly increases viscosity at high temperatures. This means more efficient lubrication in the case of turbocharger bearings.
16. Does using Diesel Flow Fit, part no. 5130, in biodiesel or vegetable oil fuel improve resistance to low temperatures?
No, with these fuels the resistance to low temperatures is not improved.
17. By how many degrees Celsius does using Diesel Flow Fit (part no. 5130) in summer diesel improve resistance to low temperatures?
If using conventional summer diesel fuels with a low temperature resistance of 0°, applying the correct dosage of Diesel Flow Fit will bring about an improvement of -6° to
-8° Celsius.
