I own a 2007 Civic Si. I am the original owner of the vehicle and we have spent about 145,000 miles together.
This Civic is my daily commuter, but does see track time at my local circuits about once every two months. Oil has always been a very important factor for me. I change my oil every 3,000 miles or after every track day. I would switch between oils like ... . This was until a friend introduced me to LIQUI MOLY. He told me to put in the Cera Tec as well as the LIQUI MOLY engine oil Special Tec AA, which is specially engineered for Asian car engines. I was not a fan of using additives in my engine, but I tried it, because it wasn’t something I had to add with every oil change.
The oil change was pretty straight forward. After draining the used oil, I put the Special Tec AA oil in first and then poured the bottle of Cera Tec in.
The difference was shocking. It immediately ran smoother. Most noticeable to me is the behavior on the freeway, when I step on the gas without downshifting. Even running at very low rpm, the car still accelerates. The vehicle also feels like there is less drag, when letting off the gas in gear and it has less resistance when rolling. So far, I put on about 1,000 miles since the oil change and the fact that I am able to feel a positive difference just from an oil change is a great sign. It wasn’t until using LIQUI MOLY that I realized that my engine was in fact tired from all the hard driving miles, and my car just feels rejuvenated with this new oil and Cera Tec. I’m glad that I have finally found myself an oil brand that I can stick with.
Fully synthetic premium-class fuel-efficient engine oil, that has been developed for the year-round use in Asian and American vehicles. The combination of unconventional base oils and the latest additives guarantees an engine oil which protects against wear, reduces oil and fuel consumption, and keeps the engine clean and providing quick oiling of the engine.
Cera Tec is a high-tech ceramic wear protection product for all motor oils. Cera Tec reduces friction and wear due to ceramic compounds that withstand extremely high chemical and thermal loads. Prevents direct metal-to-metal contact, thus increasing the engine service life. The low-friction effect reduces fuel consumption in gasoline and diesel engines.
